250mL and 500mL bottles of silicate solution. Can be used for culturing diatom phytoplankton or to help create a natural diatom bloom in your tank to help beat the 3 strains of dinos that stay in the sand bed at night (LCA, SCA and procentrum).
To determine dosage: (tank volume/15) x 0.2 = Dosage
Shake vigorously and add to 100mL RODI to avoid any perspiration. Dispense slowly into high flow area of aquarium.
if no noticeable bloom of diatoms after 2 weeks to a month (for treating dinos), double the dose of silicate for 2 weeks.
Product grade not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children.
Note that there are no accurate silicate self-test kits. The only accurate method is an ICP test or even easier to use your microscope to track both diatom and dino progression.
