About Bulldawg Reef, LLC

We are a local plankton farm in North Georgia specializing in copepods and phytoplankton. Bulldawg Reef, owned by Ben and Casey Barber, is a small family business located in Canton, Ga. We started in the saltwater aquarium hobby over 10 years ago and then formed Bulldawg Reef in early 2021 due to our love of coral and ever expanding and growing collection. We expanded into phytoplankton and zooplankton to help maintain our systems naturally. We developed our blends after months of testing on our own systems and experimenting with 15 strains of phytoplankton, paired with many months of research into the benefits of each strain, We saw our systems thriving and maintaining balance naturally and decided to share our success with our coral customers. Early in 2024 with the addition of our third child, we made the decision to focus on our phytoplankton, zooplankton, and family. As the sole owners and operators, we take so much pride in our products and will only send out what we would be happy with as customers receiving. We culture, prep, pour and pack each box with your satisfaction in mind, and we hope to create a lasting trusted partnership with our reefing community.
